Panasonnic WM-61A

Following requests from a large number of audio-people
interested in making their own recordings and accurate measurements,
we are now stocking the Panasonic WM-61A.
It is generally regarded as one of the best microphone capsules of its kind.

This small microphone has very good data and is recommended all over the world for its excellent performance and low price.
It is necessary to make some sort of fixture for the capsule as well as a power supply and an amplifier.
We are hoping to be able to supply a kit to this end, but at the moment you will have to make do with what you can find on the net - there are for example some info available from Mr Linkwitz - he has used the predecessor WM-60A in his experiments.
WM-61A is slightly more sensitive and has slightly lower noise.
It's also Mr Linkwitz who has made the amusing stereomicrophoneglasses to the right. You use your own head as a "dummy head" during recording or measurements :-)
