Loudspeaker Cable
For those of you who don't want to, don't have the energy to, or just don't feel like braiding the cable yourselves I'm selling pre-braided cables. They are made, bespoke, by me so there will be around a weeks delivery time.
Svalander Special handbraided 4-braid from 4x1mm2 solid-core pure copper cable.
As can be seen on the picture it is delivered with color coded wires and a different color at each end of the cable. During the braiding I take care to make sure the direction of each cable is the correct one.
The budget version is hand braided with 4x0.75mm2 wire.
1 cable contains both + and - leads ie. one cable per loudspeaker.
The cable is colorcoded so you know what is + and -.
I also sell the cables per meter for you to braid yourself.

For those of you who don't want to, don't have the energy to or just don't feel like braiding the cable yourselves I'm selling pre-braided cables. Particularly this interconnect is very difficult to braid and takes a long time to braid even for someone who is used to doing it. These cables are made, bespoke, by me so there will be around one or two weeks delivery time.
During the summer of 2002 I listen to a plethora of signal and loudspeaker cables. After much thinking and testing I came up with this signal or interconnect cable.
So far it has proved to be a big improvement in every system where I have tried it :-)
As can be seen in the pictures it is extremely thin. It is also unshielded. Despite this I have had no problems with RF or hum. The very tight braid makes the cable rather insensitive to that sort of thing - the braiding works like some kind of screen. Another proof that the boys at Bell Labs new what they were doing in the 20's!

The cables are delivered with or without connectors. if you want some kind I don't sell you can send them to me and I will solder them for free. If you are not a very experienced solderslinger this cable can be a challenge to solder! Mail me so we can agree on the procedure.
I take great care over the direction of the cables during braiding.
I also sell the cables per meter for you to braid yourself.

Balanced versions
|
The cables can also be delivered in a balanced version for soldering to a XLR connector. The soldering is included in the price but the cost of the connectors is added to the price and depends on the type of connector required. The price below is for a good XLR with gold-plated pins.

The wire above is the one I use myself in my own cables.
Note that you need 4 x 1.2 to 1.4 meters for one meter of finished cable. The shrinkage depends on the thickness of the wire (more shrinkage with thinner cable) and how hard you braid!
