Film capacitors

I still have some brand new film capacitors from RIFA (NOS).

PHE 430 is a metallised polypropylene with very good data. I use it as coupling capacitor in tube amps etc.

PFE 225 is a real delicacy in polystyrene. As the material is no longer made, you are at the mercy of surplus outlets like this little shop.

I am very happy to still have some PFE225 as it is the best capacitor I have been able to find for filters and as a piggyback for larger capacitors. The only drawback is that they only take 100V or 200V according to the specifications, but it is possible to use them up to 600V according some who have tried. If you do, it's at your own risk!
